About Me
When life throws you into the courtroom, you don’t need judgment — you need someone in your corner. That’s where I come in. I’m Cody S. Poe, a criminal defense lawyer with over a decade of experience standing up for people in Mobile and across Alabama.
I started my career as a prosecutor, which means I know exactly how the other side builds its case. Today, I use that insight to tear apart weak evidence, expose mistakes, and fight for my clients’ freedom.
I’ve handled everything from DUIs and misdemeanors to serious felony charges. What I’ve seen time and again is this: good people make mistakes, and the system is quick to punish them for it. My job is to make sure one bad night doesn’t define the rest of your life.
My philosophy is simple:
-
Clients first. You’ll never feel like just another case file on a desk.
-
Clear answers. No legal jargon, no runaround — just straight talk about your options.
-
Relentless defense. Whether we’re negotiating a deal or going to trial, I fight like your future depends on it — because it does.
When you hire me, you’re not just getting a lawyer. You’re joining Team Cody — and that means you’ve got someone who knows the playbook, knows the players, and knows how to win.
Bad night. Good lawyer. Call Cody.
